This is a series of 11x17 gig posters I created for Russell Street Jam, a supergroup comprised of members of Portland’s roots rock, alt-country, and jam band communities. RSJ is headed up by vocalist/keyboardist Edward Connell, and has a longstanding association with Portland’s much beloved Laurelthirst Public House.
RSJ were looking for whimsical and dynamic posters that would convey the improvisational yet disciplined nature of their music. I created playful layouts which represented each of the band members via his respective instrument, and used palettes and themes which referenced the season of each individual performance.
