These are logos for a food cart I’ve been operating since May of 2016. I initially ran the cart on a part time basis, specializing in Burmese curries and salads. The maroon and gold color scheme was inspired by robes worn by Buddhist monks, the icon is based on the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, and the typeface was chosen for its contrastingly modern feel. In 2019, I started running the cart full time and pivoted to a contemporary take on grilled cheese sandwiches. Cooper Black was chosen for its legibility and generously rounded corners, which evoke the gooeyness of melting cheese. Alternate versions of each logo were created for various identity and social media applications.
